- Username (unique identifier you choose)
- Display name
- Profile photo (optional)

- Location data (only when you actively create or join activities)
- Activities you create (Zaps, Check-ins, Plans)
- Friend connections and groups you create
Optional Information
- Device contacts (only if you grant permission, used to find friends)

Device Information
- Device token for push notifications
- Device type and operating system version
- App version
How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
- Authenticate your account and verify your identity
- Enable you to share your location with selected friends
- Send push notifications for friend activities (if enabled)
- Connect you with friends who use Voltd
- Provide and maintain App functionality
- Respond to your comments, questions, and requests
- Send you technical notices and support messages
How We Share Your Information
We NEVER:
- Sell your personal information to third parties
- Share your location data with advertisers
- Track your location when the App is not in use
- Share your information with users you haven't explicitly selected
We ONLY share your information:
- With friends you explicitly select when creating activities
- With service providers necessary for App operation (e.g., SMS verification, push notifications)
- If required by law or to protect rights and safety
- With your consent
Data Retention
- Zaps: Automatically deleted after 5 minutes
- Check-ins: Deleted after the duration you specify
- Plans: Deleted after the event ends
- Account Information: Retained until you delete your account
- Location History: We do NOT store historical location data
Data Security
We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures to protect your personal information. However, no electronic transmission over the internet or information storage technology can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
Your Data Rights
You have the right to:
- Access your personal information
- Correct inaccurate information
- Delete your account and associated data
- Opt-out of push notifications
- Refuse to provide location permission (note: this limits core App functionality)
- Remove friends or leave groups at any time
To delete your account, go to Settings → Account → Delete Account in the App.
Location Information
- We only access your location when you actively create or join activities
- Location sharing is always voluntary and user-initiated
- We do NOT track your location in the background
- Location data for activities is automatically deleted after the activity expires
- You control who sees your location for each activity
Children's Privacy
Voltd is not intended for users under 17 years of age. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 17. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 17, we will take steps to delete such information.
International Data Transfers
Your information may be transferred to and maintained on servers located outside of your state, province, country, or other governmental jurisdiction. If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the information to the United States and process it there.
Third-Party Services
The App may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Voltd. We are not responsible for the privacy practices of such third parties.
California Privacy Rights
California residents have specific rights regarding their personal information under the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA). These rights include:
- Right to know what personal information is collected
- Right to know whether personal information is sold or disclosed
- Right to opt-out of the sale of personal information
- Right to deletion
- Right to non-discrimination
We do not sell personal information.
